Penchecks Trust

This assignment asked that I work with a live client to comprehensively edit an existing workplace document.
I worked with a representative from a company named PenChecks Trust on a document that was currently getting poor feedback from their customers. The representative expressed a new login portal was being rolled out and the company needed a quick way to train existing customers on how to use the new technology. The representative explained the most common feedback they were receiving was the current document contained an overwhelming amount of information, which made it difficult for the customers to understand.
Collaborating with a client was a great experience, I was able to obtain direct insight and gain better understanding of detains such as the documents intended uses, what was working currently, and areas in which the client felt need improvement. This research was extremely helpful as I was able to understand and shape what the end result should look like. By utilizing the strategies learned throughout my courses I was able to revise and edit with ease ensuring the document I created addressed issues with the initial document.
In developing my document, I pulled strategies and concepts from my courses to ensure I was only utilizing the most vital information and presenting the information in a way that was easy to digest for the user. In addition to creating a document that was visually easier to digest, I made sure to be mindful that the tone of the document remain consistent throughout the document.

How to Propagate Succulents

It seems almost daily that I am asked to explain a procedure needed to perform a task. Completing this assignment really allowed
me to add to my skillset as it pertains to procedural writing. The task asked that I create a set of instructions that is intended to explain a procedure.
At the time, I was interested in propagating succulents. It was essentially this reason I decided to create a guide on how to do so. In order to successfully complete this assignment, I was called to analyze, articulate and respond to the needs of a specific audience.
In this case, my audience had no previous experience in propagating succulents. In order to execute my objective in this assignment I needed to educate my audience. It was imperative my instruction be clear, concise and easily digestible. To be successful in my communication my priority became simplifying my content to only what was necessary and the applying visuals aids whenever possible.
